Hack Space @ RFA Pointcloud Scan
by raumfahrtagentur
Description
Point Cloud meshed as a solid STL.
I've been working on turning pointcloud data into usable, printable models and the Hackspace @ RFA cloud Thing proved to be good practice. The scan has a fairly high point density, and I've found my laptop isn't quite up to the task of working on such models... perhaps it is time for an upgrade!

Instructions
Cloud.STL has had no cleanup done; not printable as is - the STL is single walled in many areas.
CloudCleaned.STL should be a printable watertight mesh, though I have not tested it. It could still use a bunch of cleanup if you do intend to print.

hi there! great thanks for the stl derivate! we're really looking forward to get this stuff automated in some way. can you provide some more information about how you actually processed the pointcloud I posted on thingiverse?
thanks again,
please ask if you want some more examples to work on.
we have a tesloa c2050 card available to generate such pointclouds... so there is some space left for testing .)
