This is Thing-a-Week #2, previous things can be found here. http://www.iheartrobotics.com/search/label/thing-a-week

I don't know about you but I am tired of losing the key to the chuck.
Designed for attachment to a mini drill press.

Optional magnet and thumb screw can improve the performance of this widget.

Instructions

If you are using a Makerbot (No 90 degree overhangs) or if you don't need the magnet holder or thumbscrew you can edit the OpenSCAD file to disable these features. The STL file has both of these features included by default.

CA Glue and Kicker work well for gluing the magnet into place.

Print and enjoy.

With 3D Slash, you can edit 3d models like a stonecutter. A unique interface: as fun as a building game! The perfect tool for non-designers and children to create in 3D.

Nice idea. However, since my pillar drill is made from emtal anyway, I just use the magnet straight on the cover ;)

Still handy though! I may make one eventually!
