Keychain Camera Mount by PrintTo3D Jan 21, 2010

Description

This is a mounting system for a keychain spy camera.

The bracket is designed to bolt right onto my Ultra Stick Mini plane.

You will need a bolt and nut to assemble the pivot point. I don't know what size it is 4-40 possible. I just found whatever bolt worked and cut it to length.

You will need to Dremel the side walls to get the camera to fit.

Camera was purchased on EBAY.

A rubber band holds the lid on for quick removal of the camera.

Have posted any video using this camera mount? I was wondering if you had any vibration issues by having that pivot mount.

$24 shipped from HK.

No version two at least not yet. Too much time to remodel the curves.

Great project! How much was the spy camera? Got a link? Do you think you will do a version 2 and laser scan your part to make a tighter case? (David laser Scanner??)

Love stuff that flys.

But from a purely flying standpoint, would it not make more sense to hotglue the camera itself to the pivot point.? The objective would be to reduce drag, though I suspect the overall power is more that the camera case is not a issue.?

Power is not an issue. This particular plane with hover like a helicopter.

The reason for making the mount is that I want something I can use in any device and is modular. I can make new mounts for any of my other RC vehicles. Glueing the camera would also no longer allow it to be used as a spy camera should I want to spy!
