Installation will depend on what wireless doorbell system you can get hold of. I took apart the transmitter and discovered there was just a simple push switch in there, so easy to hack. The transmitter runs from 3v and the buzzer pin on the makerbot motherboard supplies 5v. Luckily the arduino mega has a 3.3v power output, so I just hooked that directly into the power of the transmitter. Since the makerbot motherboard buzzer pin supplies 5v, I hooked up the buzzer pin to the transmitter switch using a common 2N2222 transistor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2N2222) and a 2Kohm resistor. I left the transmitter switch in place for easy testing.
