Description

This is a sculpture from my recent solo show, "Tomorrow Land"! You can read all about the meaning of the work here: rhgallery.com/site/exhibitions/tomorrowland/tomorrowland_pressrelease.pdf

This sculpture commemorates the end of the shuttle program. The shuttle silhouette is cut out of a cemetery. Pour one out for this retired work-horse!

It's art so it's not "for" anything other than to impress your friends with your well-developed cultural palette.

Instructions

Print at the highest resolution your printer can muster! I printed this for my show at .22mm.

I recommend the Natural ABS color because it looks the most high-end.

By the way, we printed the "muffin top" version of this piece (just the top chunk) at the Affordable Art Fair in LA on a Replicator and audiences had a great time watching the cemetery scene rising quickly up from the build platform.

Of course they did! Who doesn't like muffin tops?

This series of pieces were huge hits on the art circuit this year -- and featured on WSJ blog and elsewhere. Here's what I grabbed from the MakerBot blog:
