Google NexusOne Dock V.2 by MatthewLaBerge Feb 1, 2010

Description

This dock design is a collaboration between Cid Vilas and Myself. Cid has a NexusOne and I do not... I have access to Pro/Engineer but Cid does not. Collaboration was done over the internets to design the dock then Cid downloaded the design and printed it to test.

The google groups discussion that started this...

Cid's Flickr showing the V.1 dock printed...

This is the second version of the NexusOne dock, the first version did not have the pockets for the BBs and the phone sat further forward on the dock.

Besides the requisite STL file I have also included the parametric Pro/Engineer CAD file as well a STEP and IGES file for those with different CAD packages.

I can't help you out today since all of my CAD tools are at work, but if you can wait till tomorrow I can help you out then.

I would very much like to print a copy of this with an additional round base so it fits in my cup holder in the car. I have only just entered the 3d printing realm and I'm working with SketchUp at the moment. I've imported your fantastic dock, but I can't quite figure out the dimensions. Can you please give me a specific dimensions such as the width of the flat area below the track ball at the base?

Thanks for the help!

Step Three: Fill the pockets on either side of the dock connector with something heavy; may I suggest BBs. P.S. if you want to be more green you could use something like dirt or gravel.

Step Four: Dock your NexusOne and admire...

It looks great, but when I try to generate gcode in Replicatorg it immediately says "toolpath generated" and doesn't produce output :-(

Hey Wurp,

What version of Skeinforge are you using. I remember others having trouble with older versions.
