Description

A variant for the 3D Artist Mag pet monster contest.

Not everyone who's into dragons likes Valentine's day or "hearts-and-stuff". Because of that I've made a slight variation of my pet monster.

As requested here's a "not so february"-version of the little pet monster Valentine.

Updated information will be posted in the Instructions below.

Best regards,
Andreas

Instructions

Choose between "print as one" (dragonandchest) or print seperate files (dragon, chest). Base is included as a seperate file.

No real experience with printing different parts (or printing at all) so I'm not really sure if I'm doing this multiple-parts-stuff right. I'm counting on your feedback. :)

Thanks for making this little guy he was fun to print and paint up I look foward to more from you in future :)

I'll share more stuff for sure. Right now I'm quite busy with my job so I'm laking some time for that at the moment. I really enjoy seeing your printjobs and the nice coloring you've done on them! Thanks for that :)

Details for printing a "multi color" print on a single extruder printer:

* Print the chest.

* Print the base.

* Print the dragon with support (for the upper arm)

* You'll need to slightly bend/break the upper arm so the chest can slide in there.

* Glue everything together.

See my note on multiple parts, posted on the original dragon. Add to that, I'm not sure how well the printing tool handles multiple parts that overlap. (Exist in the same space) You would definitely want to clip any overlapping parts. With the heartless dragon, I used a heart to clip the original model, (leaving a heart shaped hole) and then I used that heart as the second piece. Then I had a model that didn't overlap (sort of.) Make sense? People printing them one at a time, can just recenter the chest(or heart) automatically with the printing software.

Thanks for your tips! Do you mean that they shouldn't overlap in general or in this particular case? Because the chest doesn't overlap with the dragon as far as I can tell. I tweaked the dragon model to make room for the chest.

If it does, please let me know where and I'll fix it :)

It's not necessarily that people don't like Valentines Day, it's that we like the dragon so much.
