They probably hire enforcement companies that crawl the web for their clients an do not differentiate between cool/uncool use of product logos. You might be overestimating how much humor goes with lawyers :)
Good thing the logo isn't visible anyway :)
I'm sure Volkswagen are sick and tired of people using their logo and promoting their products. Angry better pull this keyring now before it's too late.

I guess this would violate trademark law. :( You can do many things (except if you're an American (land of the free?) with its DMCA laws) but I think trademarks are internationally recognised and you shouldn't attach it to objects unless you have permission.
