Description

This derivate of the greg's carriage allows you to remove/change/insert the extruder just by pushing or pulling the little lever in front of it.

Here you can see how it works: youtu.be/I2rSAMgzOOQ

By pushing the lever the plate moves by less than a millimeter, but just enough to make pressure on the screws and hold them down.

UPDATE: I published another version of the lever, wich can apply a bit more pressure.

Instructions

In addition to the classic greg's carriage vitamins (zip-ties, screws for the belt holder and tightener, nuts) you will need 4 M3 screws (mine are 15 mm), washers and nuts.

-print the desired carriage (1/2/no fans) and all the other parts
-insert 3 M3 screws in the holes, from the bottom of the carriage
-clamp the carriage to the linera bearings, and apply the zip ties
-prepare the lever attached to the "plate" part (someone have a better name to suggest for this part? )
-put the plate on the carriage and the cover in the screws. apply washers and nuts

If you want to clean the extruder attachment holes be careful to pull the lever before!

In your extruder you should have the 2 m4 screws firmly locked, so they won't come off when you insert them into the holes. maybe some glue will do it, in my case i used two nuts and modified the hot-end mount to make space for them. (if anybody needs it it's a modified budashnozzle 1.0 mount, just ask and i'll publish it..)
