If a 'front' file doesn't have a matching 'rear' component, just print 'Minion_rear' for it's second half.

Hey, very cool print, just out of interest what sort of paint do you use on your models?

I've been using Liquitex paints with great success. You want to ensure a good primer first. You can check out my Amazon Associates store for some of the painting supplies I use: http://astore.amazon.com/embedde0b-20?node=5&page=4

Great, my 5 year old love to paint them ... need more filament ... :)

To simplify the instructions, print 1 of each part and 3 extra rears for a total of 12 parts.
That ends up being 2 custom rears, 4 regular rears and 6 fronts.
I am curious why some backs are different. Note that the file naming convention inhibits sorting properly to help see what goes with what.
Unless the author chooses to do so I will remix this as a single STL with all 12 parts scaled 50% since it can fit on my bed in one go. I don't need large minions, I just need a lot of them.

Instructions have been updated to indicate minion pairs. The original models were not symmetrical, a few of these are mirrored and they require their own 'rears'. Go ahead and remix it for your desired build plate dimensions.

How do you pt something in customizer so I can print it?

Hello all! I'm new to 3D printing and just printed a minion! Do you all recommend a certain type of glue for PLA builds? Thanks!

With PLA just use super glue. ABS use ABS slurry.

Do you know how to print with supports on repetier host? I want to print this but i don't know if it would stay up with supports. If you can help that would be great

Sorry, I'm not familiar with repetier host. Also keep in mind that the bottom of the feet are not perfectly flat. That might cause other issues as well.

I printed it yesterday just to see and it actually worked without them. But thank you anyways

I LOVE the expressions on these guys!

Very nice! Please do some more facial expressions on them :) Only 1 is smiling

they look very nice but why are they hollow ?

A lot of people have issues with prints with large flat bottoms, the edges warp upward. This approach reduces that and makes the seam less noticeable when gluing them together.

I am printing a set now and waiting to see how it will ever bridge the gap created by the hollow bodies. Lifting (warp) is a surface prep and temperature control problem and so I hate to see a design compromised to fit a badly configured machine.
And so, it failed the bodies need to be solid so one can choose the fill density that best suits them. Maybe add keys too.

Report back if your setup has issues bridging the gap. So far no one has reported problems.

I love them... but... why.. they dont have pants............

freedom to paint your down costume!

Finally excellent Minions. Too bad they can't be in full color. Get out the paint brushes.

Nice prints. what printer did you print them with?

makerbot thingomatic

Very nice quality!
