Agree with natetrue. Prongs must be horizontal. Maybe just cut off part of the shield. Anyway, I had thought about designing something like this, but was to uncomfortable with the strength and wear issues to go ahead.

Yikes, when I see this thing all I think about is those prongs breaking off in the socket. On a Makerbot the inter-layer adhesion can be sketchy for a high-stress, small-cross-section part like that.

If you could manage to print it with the prongs being horizontal (you'd need supports of some kind) then it may work.

Standard US socket.
