Working model of a Chevy Camaro LS3 V8 engine.
Over 200 hours of printing!!! Engine block alone was 72 hours.
Modeled from cad files, pictures, specs, and service diagrams of the engine. I did not have the actual engine for this one.
It assembles just like the real thing!!!
Hardware kits are available for $52 for all the fasteners, bearings, rods, springs, and the belt. Fasteners and rods will have to be cut to length as indicated in the parts list. I also have the 500 rpm motors for $17, speed controller for $6, 12v power supply for $4. Everything should all fit in a flat rate envelope so $6.95 for shipping in the US. I'm still working on setting up a website to sell them but you can PayPal me at [email protected] if you want one.
Also the engine stand will be available for sale soon, if enough people are interested.
It fits my other engines too.
The electric motor that powers it is a 12V 500rpm geared motor.
Shaft Size : 15 x 6mm/0.6" x 0.24" (L*D)
Motor Body Length : 43mm/1.7";Motor Body Diameter : 33mm/1.3";Thread Diameter : 2.5mm/0.1"
The motor housing will need to be filed down slightly to fit the starter mount.
Recommended print settings can be found on the printed parts list.
Look at printed parts list and assembly drawings to see notes about post processing parts.
How I Designed This
Designed using some CAD file floating around the internet as well as pictures, diagrams, and specifications of the engine.
