this shows a maker bot extruder on a bfb tool because of how easy it is to get parts and nozzles in the usa. i also created an adapter bracket that holds the top of the ptfe in place when clamped by the plexy glass on top. just for those bfb people that need to send out for another extruder. mine broke last week after clogging.

CORRECT. The attachment is from bfb and is a triangle bolted with 3 attachments, i cleaned away the cement and replaced the entire thermal barrier, as well as the heating tip and nozzle that still uses the bfb attachments. The piece here fits on top, and helps hold the PTFE in place as well as ensure the PTFE is long enough for the bfb machine. it did this when i could not find a 1 inch tubing replacement for the Teflon tubing included with my kit. the tubing wore out, or actually blew out a hole. in the usa Teflon tubing is ordered in 50ft at a time! could not find 1 inch anywhere! but the ptfe barrier i had in stock.

I do not see any holes for the 3 screws that form the attachment points for
toolhead on the BfB RepMan.
So this is not an attachment for a makerbot extrudre but a way to
match a makerbot hotend to the BfB Extruder.

Instructions

create 3d part from stl file, put it on top of a build ptfe and brass rod, after assembling triangle below device and clamping, make sure the ptfe is centered so the brass rod does not touch the metal triangle washer. after that wire up ni chrome wire, and use kapton tape, or do the cement again. also if you need to use new wires make sure the wires are not copper, as copper oxidizes to the extreme temp. meaning extruder never turns back on.. so use another metal wire.
