Description

I thought there should be a lamp to go along with all the 60's furniture. Modeled after a lamp that we own (see pics). Scale is about 1:10.

I uploaded the .c4d file too, in case there are any other Cinema 4D modelers out there that want to customize their lamp more easily.

Instructions

Print gently. You may have to drill out the holes in the shade and the base a little bit to fit the tubing in depending how well your printer is calibrated. I used a piece of 5/32" brass tubing and the holes are about 4mm in the stl.
I really wanted to get a little USB powered LED in here so I left a tiny tiny channel up the middle of the lamp. Don't have time to take it further right now, but if the whole thing was scaled up a little it would be pretty easy.

Here's a great little scale calculator: http://www.printmini.com/calc....

1. Measure your actual lamp in inches and convert to millimeters (25.4 mm per inch)
2. Measure your printed lamp in millimeters
3. Use the calculator to determine the closest scale

Yep, it's about 1:10.

Just saw the Guernica-esque head next to the lamp - awesome! :)

Any chance you can upload it and add it to the Madiverse‽

Hmmm...Guernica-esque, eh? I guess it is kinda.

It's already here, but I'm not as sure it fits the theme. I just needed a model to cast light on for the render and I had it handy. :)

Excellent! :)

The Madiverse needed some light!
