I wanted to add a switch to the back of the Ghost to make it easier to turn on/off for my daughter. Rather than use the back on the model, I printed two fronts and designed a plate to hold a switch in the back.
I included a mirrored front to make the assembly a little easier for the guts which is something I wish I had done so the light could remain in the middle of the ghost and not shoved to either hemisphere.
Disassemble the back of the light by removing the battery clip.
Drill a hole in the back cover for the wires.
With side cutters clip off the touch points on the battery holder. Solder a wire to the back and to the touch plate on the light board.
Assemble everything together. Twist on the cap enough to keep the light together. When you put the two halves of the Ghost together, DON'T glue them so you can change the batteries.
Does it work???
