Description
Inspired by the adafruit skill badges and the 3D printed skill badge I thought I'd design a laser cut skill badge. Can't let the 3D printer guys have all the fun.

Instructions
The steps involved in making this badge neatly demonstrate some key skills for laser cutting.
The text is an etch based process, the laser acts much like a normal printer cutting a series of dots in a row, building up the image one line at a time.
The laser symbol is a low power cut which produces nice clean lines and is a lot faster than the etch process.
The outline of the merit badge is a full power cut which completely separates the item from the sheet material.
