Print out 1x2 portraits of characters or monsters and snap them into these re-usable stands and use them instead of minis for pen and paper role playing! There is a nickel snapped into the base to give it weight.

  1. Print
  2. Glue the stand back piece to the base
  3. Add a portrait and snap the cover/frame on to hold it in place.
  4. Cast magic missile at the darkness!

Looks cool.  I'll see if my group wants to draw their characters for this. I may offer some in-game bonuses, too.

What a great idea! Would you please share your design/source files so others can work on these too?

Will do later tonight. I just use Sketchup so I'll upload those. I'd love for someone more artistic than I (pretty much all of you) to add some embellishments. :-)

BTW, the idea came from this YouTube video...

Loved your design but I'm awful with glue so I made a glue-less version. Then started to add some decorative things, I'll be adding a lot more designs for various characters over the next few days.
