Description

Upcycling a tin can to turn it into a bird house using 3D printed clipped lids.

These models were made a while back for project RE_, but now they are FREEEEE!

Thank you for the beautiful bird house. Great idea!
I found it better to print the bird in one piece to avoid the line that remains if you print it in two parts and glue it together.

No supports needed, only the raft. Make sure to build it as in the picture (beak up).

Instructions

Open a used 4 inch diameter tin can on both sides. Use a normal can opener, the ones that leave the lip intact.
Print both front and back part. Remove support.
Nail or screw the back part unto a tree or a wall about 1 to 3 meters above ground to attract eastern bluebirds.
More models for different type of birds will come.
I suggest to use ABS with a FDM machine to have a good clip!
