There is a forum about robotic arms including this design on the reprap forum.

Unfortunately the gears on this design are a huge pain, and not very accurate, so I do not recommend building it. I have designed a new robotic arm that is driven by only threaded rod. This will eliminate the error associated with making your own gears. Another good thing is that it will only need a foot of 1/4" threaded rod, so the cost will be very small. Believe me, it is a huge improvement.
The topic for the new design is here

I just updated the stl files so that the pieces are the correct thickness.
Ah, also forgot to say you need 10 2mm zip ties to hold the sides to the cross pieces.
Ok all done with machining! Just gotta get the right nuts and bolts and put it all together. Then it will be up and running!
- new pics attached
-changed the base to include bolt holes to hold the base down.
By the way, in the picture I have a bunch of random bolts holding it together, when they are actually supposed to go through to the other side. I just didn't have any fully threaded bolts on hand.
You could also use 1/4 threaded rod and cut it into 3.5" lengths. Then you just need to have 4 nuts for each rod.
Also, I will add a few exploded views so you can see how to put it together.
Just uploaded some pictures. I am making one right now out of polycarbonate on my milling machine.
Dude, This looks great Let me know if you need any cad help or have any other ideas you need help submitting. I have inventor and now Alibre 12.1 I'm Testing which seems just as good so far. I would like to make a how humanoid one day and stuff for disabled people all opensource. My website is www.RashadGlover.com
This repstrap requires
-3 geared motors
6 .25" X 3.5" fully threaded bolts
3 .25" X .5" bolts - fully threaded
21 .25" nuts
6 #4 X 1.5" bolts - fully threaded
6 #4 nuts
an extruder, an arduino ect..
That's it!

HI.
can you post them as single files as I only have a small build space
Auzze
there is really no point to making this, unless you want to have a robotic arm for other reasons. It will not work as a reprap. I am working on a new design that works much better, using threaded rod. Here is the wiki for that:
