Just started printing this and am noticing a couple of huge holes on the bottom. Are they there on purpose?

I am printing one now at 75% and I've already done one at 50% to see what it actually looks like. I'm still new to this, so I don't know how to make alterations yet. I'm wondering if anybody knows how to add a screen inside over the small hole in the back. I'm imagining a kind of thin bubble shape on the inside over the hole, with numerous holes in it - probably the same size holes as the one that's already in it. This would eliminate the need to put rocks in the bottom to prevent the single hole from clogging up over time.
Thanks,
Jon
