We're excited and proud to launch Thingiverse Apps. Learn More about what this means to you.
A few months ago I had this T-Rex made out of lasercut .090 Aluminum for my son (He calls his T-Rex "Dino")and I figured this would be a good 3D print as well. I was correct.. :-)
"Dino" will make a great desktop companion or an awesome gift for a 8+ child. (8+ includes grown men like myself... Ha!)
All that is uploaded thus far is the .STL file of the complete assembly, which is ready to print with no assembly required. I will be uploading the 26 individual T-Rex parts as .STL files as soon as I get around to it so that you can assemble your "Dino" on your own for much more added fun.
The picture that I have uploaded is of the .090 Aluminum model that I made. My first attempt at printing the plastic model didn't go very well as I scaled the model down to far and the plastic was REALLY thin. I will upload a picture of the plastic model as soon as the support material is removed.
I have provided a photo of the 3D Printed "Dino" along witht he .090 Aluminum model.
