Description

I love my quad line kites (beamer/toxic from hq) for their incredible maneuverability and power. But when it comes to packing up they are a mess compared to my depower kite with control bar. The lines start to separate into single filaments after winding und unwinding several times. To avoid this the lines should be wound in a figure 8. To be able to do that I designed the kite horns that can be attached to the handles before packing.

Instructions

1. Print two pieces of the horns.
2. Have fun kiting.
3. Place a horn at the top and one at the bottom of the handles.
4. Wind the lines in a figure 8.

I'm not sure if the horns fit to other handles than the ones from hq powerkites (diameter 26 mm). Therefore you might have to modify the attached Creo Elements Express file to your needs.

Update:
I reduced the outer dimensions by 10% while keeping the inside diameter the same. The new stl- and Creo-files are called "...90percent...".
