Description

In honor of SJ Games' re-releasing (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/847271320/ogre-designers-edition) the war-game Ogre, I've 3D printed a HVY Tank from the game. I can't share the geometry (copyrighted) but I wanted to share at least a picture.

Instructions

Ignore Texture.scad. :-)

is anyone else bothered by people posting empty files on thingiverse? It requires a file to be part of a post for a reason. Posting an 'I made this' with an empty file is just bragging about something you made, but we can't.

No one wants to see you brag. So either upload the file, or keep it to yourself.

Steve Jackson is awesome BTW :) Probably going to go support his kickstarter now ;)

Done! Supported for the $150 reward. Excited for the game :)

You can copyright geometry?... and then that copyright can apply to it's distrobution for personal use? I could understand it would be wrong to print this and sell it... But what's the difference between carving this out of wood and sitting it on my desk and printing this on my RepRap and sitting it on my desk?

Well, to provide more detail - Denis Loubet designed this for Steve Jackson. Steve sent me the file to print. So I'm not going to post his model on Thingiverse without his permission.

If you want to make your own model and share it, that's up to you.

Either way, it'll be a few weeks until I can have enough units printed to play in my back yard.

I am guessing that all someone has to do is draw their own 3D model based on looking at that model and then that derivative would be ok for free distrobution for personal use... Any lawyers want to back me up or shoot me down?
