Thank you very much for your support and feedback!! I don
´t have too much time, but I have modified the code to support straws. Again, it´s a work in progress. Feedback and suggestions are very appreciated.

Very nice. A couple of suggestions for your copious free time...

1). a small pinhole in the sides of the pocket, so you can use a thumbtack to pin e.g. popsicle sticks into place, even if the size is a bit variable. If the pinhole diameter is just slightly undersize it will hold the tack even if the popsicle stick doesn't. For bonus points, cap the hole on one
side so the tack doesn't stick out the back and scratch you.

2). fuse these with some of the lego-compatible brick libraries people have posted so you could build e.g. a lego bridge with wooden trestles. For bonus points, integrate with the Free Universal Construction Kit ( http://www.thingiverse.c
om/thing:19276 ) with popsicle sticks as an additional dimension.

Great suggestions!! I will keep them in mind for the next update. Thank you very much for the feedback!

Have you considered plastic stirrers, like the ones in vending machines?

Cheap and consistent dimensions.

For sure. As it is a parametric design, it can fit any kind of flat stick. Even square ones.

Whoa -- I've been working on the exact same thing! :-o We should compare notes -- I think I'm a little father along than you are, and probably running into same of the same types of problems. This pictures shows a couple of versions -- the blue one was the original and I tried to print flat. The other one is the most recent version and tried to print on its side. The biggest problem I've been having is the consistency of the sticks.

That's awesome! Your design really looks similar, but with some little differences...Great job. I will be very pleased to share ideas.

Hey -- I put my code up here so you can see it. The "square" version is the most recent. It's also very much so a work in progress, and the code is embarrassingly sloppy, but at least you can see where I was going. http://www.thingiverse.com/thi...

I've got to get to work now, but let's definitely share some ideas.
