4.3mm tall, 3mm interior dia, 4mm external dia, with a built-in 6mm dia washer on the machine-ward end.
This piece keeps compression on both bolts holding the y-axis rods.

Looks cool. Do you happen to have an example photo of these installed? I just received my derivative of drandolph's hood and cover from the laser cutter. I have not yet replaced the y-axis rod screws with the longer ones that support the front window. I didn't want to misalign the rods in the process.
Sounds like this piece could help avoid that.

I just uploaded a closeup of the part in action. I'm not at all worried about the original rig-as-designed causing rod-float issues. These spacers just prevent the exposed bolt head from floating back into the machine, making it harder to put the front cover back on. Really, at some point, I'll replace these with some spacer sleeve from the hardware store, but this was a quick, easy workaround from available materials.
