Description

A big RepRap style 3D Printer. The current build volume is about 700x700x500mm - where this needs to be improved since the footprint is more than 1m³.

Instructions

This is still Work in Progress. It DID work but there are still several problems. The Z-Axis is losing Steps and wobbles.
It will also take some Time to complete the BOM and the Instructions.

It uses makerslide.com/ the Open Source Linear Bearing System.

I use RAMPS1.4 and Marlin to drive it.

when you're get that z-axis thing worked out and are ready for primetime, I'll be in line to download your printer. thanks for doing this

Did you tweak the firmware to use this mechanism to lift the Z-axis ? :)

(just seen the threaded rod, I thought you were pulling on the scissor)

i just had to tweak DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT for the Z-axis, since i use 12mm rods.

the scissors are just to keep the build plattform horizontal.

Did you try to print full size object?

Now you can just attach laser and have nice laser cutter as well :)

Did not print a full size object yet.

yeah i thought about the laser enhancement as well :-)

now THATS a big build platform!
