Description
A generator which creates SVGs representations of Australian temperature data, ready to be lasercut.
Instructions
Run the perl script as below:
Usage: govhack.pl
"Climateset number" can be found by locating your desired city on from bom.gov.au/climate/change/acorn-sat/
"Samples to Average" is an integer value representing the number of days to use in a rolling average for each day.
"Sample ratio" is an integer used to decimate the number of samples (to reduce spikyness).
"Min radius" is the base radius to use for the minimum temperature values. The minimum temperature data in Celcius is added to this.
"Max radius" is the base radius to use for the maximum temperature values. The maximum temperature data in Celcius is added to this.
"Start/End label offset" varies where the start/end dates are positioned relative to the start marker. Omitting this value will turn off the engraving layer.
