Some time ago I looked for a new design for our bird house for our garden. I found a very nice design and made a new construction by using a CAD program. The bird house is made of 3mm plywood. Now I hope that the birds will love it.

So, what did you change in the original model?
You are aware that the opening is way to big for all but the largest birds? The size of the opeing determines a lot what species of bird is willing to nest in there.
I didn't know that, but it makes perfect sense. Shouldn't be too hard to resize the hole. Is that long perch necessary? Is that a standard feature on bird houses? Not sure I've ever seen that before. Other than that Pinocchio nose, I really like this design.
