Description

An improvement on jonaskuehling Improved X ends for Prusa with clamped rods. These have a bit trimmed off so larger pulleys can be used and the belt on be rubbing on the motor mount. I got Triffid Hunter to do the mods as I've had little experiance with openscad.

These work perfectly with a GT2 36 Groove pulley like that of SDP part no: A 6Z51M036DF0605 see: sdp-si.com/eStore/PartDetail.asp?Opener=Group&PartID=22736&GroupID=347

hello delusr,

are you sure that this will work perfect for 36t gt2? cause the belt thickness seems to be 1.52mm, not 2.6mm.

The less teeth on the pulley the more accurate the printer's capabilities, look into these, a bit more $$ but 36 teeth vs 15 or 16 is worth it in my book.

Another fun option is to buy the timing stock and use it to mold gears directly on motor shafts. This reduces the cost of buying a pulley every time.

FYI Trinity Labs now has GT2 belt and pulley sets for a very reasonable price, with either 36 or 20 tooth pulleys.

Thank goodness!
