Battery Holder - AA and AAA
Description
Simple Battery Holder (its a winner - works great!)
Holds 12 AA or 20 AAAs - Rocksolid.
This is a new design I made because I wanted a freestanding version - and one that used less space on the printer footprint. I used the bullet cartridge idea in reverse. Really happy with it.
V2 includes bottom lip for boat use.
Ideal for rechargeable AA batteries (also works for AAAs) - keep them in the order they have been charged.
"You want to watch him when he's pretending to weed his garden. A crafty look round and a dozen snails sail over the fence." - Bill Kerr
"Ah he's been doing that for years. What he doesn't know is that I sharpen their teeth up and throw them back..." - Tony Hancock.

Instructions
Hello from tealid....
To use:
Insert batteries at the top and draw from the bottom.
Also check out Justblair (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:15149) who has a very good and elegant design. However it didn't suit me - I wanted something a bit smaller in space and that would stand by itself (print in one go). Wish my design was as nice looking as his though..... but functional, it is! I have added screw holes and hook hole if you want to hang it up
Design Features:
This thing holds batteries but here is what I have built in:
*can be stood independently
*holds 12 AA or 20 AAA (see last photo for AAA)
*can be fixed to door/wall with screws
*can be hung on nail/hook (see middle gap)
*small print area
*access gaps for fingers to retrieve the top most batteries
*access gaps for fingers to extract the bottom batteries
*gaps at rear so you can blow out any dust that might collect over time
*built on reverse bullet cartridge concept used in guns (common concept)
*as per other battery holders allows you to remember the order of charged batteries.
How to:
Load .stl file and print. Printed in approximately 5 hours (1.75mm at .2mm). UP3D printer will automatically print with supports etc.
Variants:
*Original - Great for landlubbers... I use this one even on boats.
*Variant 2 - includes a lip on the lower ledge for boat use - so the batteries don't all fall out when you hit a swell or big wave.
How to get one?
Feel free to contact me for latest price if you don't have a 3D printer.
