Tiles of Art - by @Dizingof
Description
Look very closely.. These 4 tiles have hundreds of tiny flexible rods each 1.5mm in diameter and 10mm high.
Those hundreds of rods went thru a Boolean process with a Math surface called Sinus - meaning the shape of the ripple was cut-off from the top surface of the tiles.
You can upscale the tiles to fit your print bed, each tile is 100mmx100mmx13mm - the rods are flexible enough for you to walk your hand thru them ...
Also if you choose to 3d print them with Nylon at i.materialise.com, they have now a new surface finish that looks and feels like Velvet.. with different colors.
3D Print the tiles with your favorite color then hang them on a wall - each, a bit far from the next.
