Description

Headrest headphone brace/hook system; now my 4yr old can pickup and place back her headphones on her own even after being restrained in her car-seat.

Instructions

*** Please verify your installation for safety! Make sure you are leaving enough room between your occupant and the headrest installment in case of a potential collision!! ***

This setup is pretty beefy. It was designed with those that like to power yank on things and contort objects to their limits.

Print the two stl's
Raise up your cars headrest
Place the brace around a headrest pole
Slide on the hook
Lower headrest
Place headphones in hook for a cleaner cab and easy access for children

This was successfully printed on a MK6+ TOM @ 30% infill

I'm printing one right now to try. I've been hoping for a solution to keep my girls' car headphones from getting broken. :)

Good deal!

I snaked the cord through the curve I put on the backside which gives nice friction against the headrest/shoulder of the seat which helps if you have a power yanker. I have seen some pretty aggressive unintentional pull-outs and this somewhat mitigates the direct force on the headphone jack and p
ort.

My girl is fairly destructive (why I went to 30% infill) and so far so good; and she actually said thanks cuz it made it easy to hang up/retrieve them on her own after buckling herself up!

She is obsessionally independent for a 4yr old...
