Hey! This thing is still a Work in Progress.
Files, instructions, and other stuff might change!
Wooden iPad Case
Description
A wooden, laser cut iPad case. inspired by the wonderful folding wood booklets by SNIJLAB thingiverse.com/thing:12707
Instructions
This case is designed using CorelDraw (V12 files included)
The case is cut from 3mm ply (I have experimented with 3mm Acrylic and the hinge seems to work... could be interesting to make a clear one!)
You need to cut one "cover" and 2 of the "inside parts" (I did one in 3mm and one in 4mm as this is closer to the thickness of the iPad)
Sand, glue together and varnish as required.
Add elastic bands in the corners and to hold the case closed (you will need to hunt around to find bands to fit!)
PS... only use this case if you feel happy to have your iPad held in the case by 4 ordinary elastic bands (not too certain if I am!!!)... i take no responsibility for dropped or damaged iPads if you use this case!!!
