Description

Designed this fan shroud to combat the issue of my Budaschnozzle hotend not getting enough airflow across the copper heatsink causing a jam when printing with PLA. This fan shroud is designed to fit between the x-rods and blow directly on the copper heatsink. Since adding this I have had zero issues.

Instructions

1. Print. I printed at .25mm w/ .5mm Nozzle, 1.75mm filament and it came out great!

2. Mount with (1) 3mm x 25mm bolt.

This solved my PLA meltdown problem!! Nice Job!

I have a different X carriage. Mine has 3 LM8UU bearings secured with zip ties. I mounted this using the lugs for the X belt with little zip ties, oriented on the Y axis, instead of the way it is shown here. I can print in PLA all day long now.

derp, saw it in the derivatives

hey, what carriage is that?
