Description

After seeing MarkBensons amazing design (which should be a standard for printing with PLA!) I decided to remove the requirement for additional vitamins (fixings)!

Design allows easily removable 120mm fans to be fitted to the RepRapPro Huxley frame. These can then be controlled via your electronics and Slic3r for active cooling whilst printing with PLA. Cooling massively improves print quality whilst printing small parts or bridges.

Simple and minamalistic!

Instructions

Print a set.

Fit the shorter legs to the bottom of the fan and the longer legs to the top.

Position the fan so that it is clear of the heatbed and clip to frame.

Control fan speed via Slic3r.

Also why stop with 1 fan when you can fit 2!

Enjoy!

Would this work with 140mm?
And how do i hook op my fans to my sanguino?

The arms may just reach on a 140mm fan, obviously the arms won't sit square to the frame though! To hook up (if using a RepRapPro Huxley) just use your spare Mosfet (as Huxley heat bed has it's own) and adjust your firmware appropriately.

I made one, excellent design Indieflow. I was surprised of how well they fitted.

I haven't tested the effectiveness yet as I have melzi electronics on my huxley and burned one fan coz of the voltage difference. Looking for a solutions in the forum and will post a photo as soon as I install again and get it going..

any luck with that? I've got some 12v fans, and a melzi...

Nice!

Cheers, only a slight change from your idea though!
