Description

There are a bunch of designs for hoods out there for the Replicator. This is one we came up with.

We had issues with warping on large flat builds, and we realized after a couple of weeks of testing that the culprit was uneven cooling in the build area. With the hood the build area maintains an even temperature which eliminated the warping problems we were having.

Instructions

So we uploaded the .dxf file and the .ai file that we used to cut the shroud out of. The design uses 1/8" (3mm) acrylic for the cover, 18 12mm M3 bolts, 18 M3 nuts for fastening the hood and 8 printed clips to secure the side panels.

The design is based heavily on drandolph design found here:

The side clips you need to print can be found here: thingiverse.com/thing:23636
