Description
the ridges seem to almost demand to be touched by those I have shown this to.
I really think this should be printed on the larger side (the stl size or bigger) or the detail
of the ridge will get "blurred"

Chri made a print on his Orca proved me wrong! aparently it can be printed small (with the right eqipment and settings!)
Maxy also showed it can be printed nicely small!!!

Instructions
I am not sure why but it has been pointed out to me that it
needed that to be done. (Thanks MacGyver for pointing this out)
I used 3 shells and 0% infill and no raft.
i get a few top of object holes at that setting
I prefer to use post print cleanup rather than using infill.
(i fill in the holes with abs/acetone 'goop')
and on this model a paint job will follow as well

Hy cerberus, can you tell me what that "abs/acetone 'goop" is ?
I already tried to paint some models but never had success because of the layer surface :(

Sure!
I (and many others) who print in ABS take the rafts and failed prints
and put them in a small jar (a baby food or olive etc glass jar with a lid)
and mix acetone with the abs. I like to make it at least as thick as elmers glue.
it takes a few hours to dissolve. I use it to glue parts, and fill in the small holes.
the technique i currently use is this. using a q-tip I apply the goop to the holes
I let it sit for a few seconds and wipe it off with a paper towel or napkin.
i let it dry and reapply again as needed.
this can leave a shiny spot so it depends on what you are looking to do to finish the piece. i often finish with an abs paint over the piece to help the layers bind better and it shines the abs (too much will leave a milky coating). experiment! abs is cool stuff! acetone can do magic to it.
I have painted with areisol spray paint, ans some brus on acrylic.
the acetone smoothing can help lots. sanding is useful as well.
I also have seen some use a epoxy coating. There are many options.
One of the best painters of models i see on here is this user
http://www.thingiverse.com/dut...
he has some beautifully finished pieces.
he might be a good resource on finishing.
(I think his painting is far better than mine.)

I went to print it and for some reason part of it wasn't touching the platform. I stopped the print and then did a "Lay Flat" now it appears to be printing correctly. Photos to come soon.
not sure why that is happening.
i had it "centered in replicator G and saved from there
and printed from that stl
