One of the statues outside the Our Lady Star of the Sea church in Cape May, NJ. Awesome scan captured with a Nikon D5000 and 123D Catch.

Almost looks like a Weeping Angel. Don't Blink.

Lovely statue. Good find! Thank you.

Whatever you do...don't blink!

Lovely but the bit on the left wing looks like it needed a few more scans in that section. It is so bad in that spot I would be afraid to print it. DONT_KNOW

Yeah kinda sad that one wing didn't come out so well. It was by the wall so I had a hard time getting good pictures there. The shadow probably didn't help either. It prints fine though!

Hi, can you please share a link where I would learn about making scans with pictures? I thought the only way you could get a 3D model was by scanning an object with a 3D scanner, or with 3D calipers ...

After all the frustration I had doing a similar scan I'm kinda jealous yoiu got it to work. Maybe I need to use a better camera.

You can get really good results with even an iPhone 4. The more pictures you take the better. I took 76 pictures to make this angel.

... and anything which bears the image of an angel becomes an angel. Sweet dreams, Buser...

Really nice scan!!!
