Description
6-1 chainmail has twice as many rings as "normal" 4-1 chainmail. Each ring is linked through 6 others.
Instructions
I have to admit that I have cheated. The rings arent true toroids, but are octagonal, which allows them to be slightly thicker.
3 stl fies so far, labelled on the rings on each side.
4x4 has 16 rings
5x7 has 33 rings
13x19 has 242 rings. I haven't been patient enough to print this one yet.
The 13x19 just fits on my 140x140mm bed.
I printed with a raft, but it is a pain to remove.
31/7/12 Added an octagonal single ring and an open ring. If you have ever made chainmail, you'll know it's all you need.
