Hosted a kids a birthday party recently and they decided to produce nametags for each other to hang on their school bags.

Design removed and replaced with the flat disk you see, feel free to email for the original if you want it. See following link for details http://traverseda.wordpress.com/2014/05/23/makerbot-blatently-steals-and-patents-a-community-design/

For alternatives to thingiverse see http://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/26do2z/alternative_repositories_to_thingiverse/

Altering it for a different name isn't 30 seconds work unfortunately.

It's done in Google Sketchup and for each name I'd delete the interior of the nametag, add the new text in (they all chose different fonts), and then hand-fashion the bits to attach to the letters.

Got the centre for the Shaan one, although it's out a bit in the Z axis

I have a Zoe, so it works for me as-is. If it were centered around the origin, it would be easier to view in 3D preview. You can do that pretty quickly with ReplicatorG.

Yes - should have centred it.

It's where it happened to finish up when sketching, and Cura just handles the positioning automatically for me.
