Description

By request i redesigned my popular Klein Bottle: thingiverse.com/thing:22734 to fit the build area of the amazing Rostock Delta 3D Printer: 20cmx20cmx40cm !

As you know upscaling a model creates thicker walls which is inefficient in terms of material usage and 3d printing time..

So i redesigned it from scratch with a 4~8mm wall thickness and Size: 199x180x395mm

** Update: I've uploaded a low poly version and with flat base.

Slic3r crashes every time when I try to make Gcode with this thing.

Thank you! I am getting ready to print this on my Rostock right now. Wow! Big file! it takes a long time to export the G-code even on my 8 core i7 CAD system.

This thing is massive! Been printing for about three hours now, have almost 6cm up and only at 22%! It's a whopping 15cm wide. I even scaled it down to 90% because I think 40cm is just a tad bit too high for the current Rostock upper limit. Also, another small note of interest: I had some major troubles getting this print to start. It seems that the base of the bottle has only three points that actually touch the bed, so skirt and brim are only printed on those three parts. All of the other base parts are printed on the second or even third layers, and so are very hard to actually stick. I had to tape the base down.
