What type/brand of laser cutter do you have and where can I get one??
I used a cheap chinese 40 watt lasercutter from Morntech. Although this handle was cut using our previous, 25 watt laser tube. It's a part of the inventory of Fablab Amersfoort, which I'm a part of. You could probably visit a Fablab close to u to use a similar machine

I wouldn't recommend this machine though, since the mechanics where very bad and now where in the process of replacing all the electronics for opensource electronics and software from the LOASlaser project.
I would recomend getting a lasercutter trough the LOASlaser project.
Bart Bakker from the Minifablab is doing research into affordable machines, so you could also contact him.

My mother owns a used furniture store, and we have the problem of needing spare parts like this quite often.
Your piece can become quite useful around here. Can really give a cool new look to some dated furniture too!
Thanks for making this :-D
