Description
This part is to make a tapered funnel top for a bell siphon used in hydroponics/aquaponics.
According to affnan-aquaponics.blogspot.com the funnel siphon top helps the siphon start at stop at different water flows better.
Inspiration came from the flower shaped spillway at Kechut Reservoir near Jermuk in Armenia.
I am thinking that the flower shape increases the weir surface which may help prevent problems. That and it looks neat.
Parametric, you can set the number of 'petals' and size it to the pipe you are using for a stand pipe.

Adjust the parameters to fit your situation.
You can adjust the standpipe size and clearance for the bell.
The example .stl is for a 3/4 inch ID stand pipe which has a 1 1/16 OD. My bell has a 2 inch clearance.

Do you think its worth printing the entire siphon, i was thinking of making as much as i can from PLA for a small aquaponics setup
I already own the pipe & it takes less than a minute to cut off the length I need. End caps are pretty cheap too.
I can see several cases for printing the entire siphon body:
You can size the siphon screen holes for your material.
You can make a high-surface area faces for increased bacteria growth.
You can shape the siphon to sit in a corner of a rounded square grow bed much better than with a piece of pipe.
You can taper the walls so the siphon screen won't try to push up out of the bed.
You can shape the siphon lid to nipple down into the stand pipe to give a more positive siphon start/stop (maybe? I've not tried this yet and nobody has tested it that I can find)
I plan on printing some siphon bodies that incorporate the water entry as well as the siphon drain in 1 piece for some small systems that I am documenting on http://AquariPonics.com
