Description
The escher lizards lend themselves perfectly to laser cut works of art. Here I converted the whole tessellating spiral to create a spectacular 400 piece item.

Instructions
Stain 3 pieces of wood and cut the pattern 3 times then merge them all back into 1 item.

I get the feeling that "merge them all back into 1 item" takes a bit more work than the sentence implies... How long did it take you to build the spiral back up?
About 3 hours, if you can keep the lizards in the right places it helps. Draw some pencils marks on the backs at 45 degrees to the grain, those 2 clues will help when it comes to figuring out location and orientation of the smallest pieces.
