Really cool design. I really like moving parts printed in place with no assembly or fasteners required.

I was wondering if you've printed this in PLA. I would expect the overlapping part of the hinges to fuse to the supporting part underneath, but I would love to be wrong about that.

I'd love to know how the hinges are made. Is there a hinge from which this was derived in part?

I added pictures of a vertical and horizontal cross sections of the hinge/joint.

The two sides of the joint overlap and support one another during printing.

I also added a single segment stl file.
