Laser / resistor housing by kenwshmt Aug 19, 2012

Description

Model mock up.

I have an IR low wattage cutting laser from ebay that is in this very standard 15 mm housing, which I don't find here, so I modeled one.

Its not for use, its for design. It is a mock up.

the purpose of these housings is cooling.

they are used for high power resistors or other stuff that gets hot.

i dont think replacing it by a plastic housing is a good idea, it wont cool the part and maybe even melt.

It took 6 weeks to get it, and i havn't even turned it on yet, until I get eye protection, but its the size of a USB drive. I am designing a head mount for it and a fan.
