iPhone Tripod Mount by murray484 May 4, 2010

Description

This is a tripod mount for an iPhone that I made in sketchup. I cannot print this, so I am not sure if it will work, but I made it according to the dimensions on apple.com. It should fit both the iPhone 3G and 3GS.

Thanks for the advise, I rounded the edges, made several holes in the back and made 1mm of tolerance for the iphone. Is this version better?

Thanks again

Please look at my HTC Touch Pro Mount.
You
´ll get serious warping right down to the warping ripping your object apart with this
straight back.
Try adding some holes to relieve the stress while te back is printed.
Also try to round or taper the edges, this makes it not only look friendlier but also
easier to handle.
How much tollerance did
you allow for in making the iPhone fit this?
I found tht 1-1.5 mm instead of 0.xmm is required.
