Thanks Brad. The extruder was easy to print and assemble. I only had to adjust my nozzle height by half a layer, compared to the TL micro extruder with the aluminum J-head mounting plate. I am using the 30mm version.
Hello
I like your design.
Any chance you could upload a file that I can work a bit on in Sketchup 8?
I tried the STL, but i only get triangles.

Ultibots ,
Are people using this with 1.75mm too? I tried both ABS and PLA....it will go for a bit but then gets pulled back into the MK7. I think the guide holes (made for 3mm) are just too large, allowing the filament to bend.

I am glad you printed and tried this part. The guide hole as designed is set at 3.5mm. I am unaware of anyone using it with 1.75 filament. I can easily upload a version with a 2.0mm or 2.25mm guide hole. When you tried both ABS
&
amp; PLA, was this with 1.75 filament? Let me know...

is this motor powerful enough to push a 3mm filament through a 0.35mm nozzle?? also what motor driver are you using ? a pololu or something else?

Sure, I have been pushing 3mm ABS through .35mm and .5mm nozzles for months. I am using Pololu drivers on RAMPS1.4. Quite happy with this configuration. The biggest issue is sourcing PG35L motors.
