Losi Mini 8ight GoPro mount by eternal_newbie Aug 28, 2012

Description

This will be re-uploaded to another site once a suitible site is found. I do not believe that I, or the original author (in the case of my derived works) appreciates giving up all rights to own our own designs. Once A suitible location is found, or a temporary one is located, A note will be posted here. Have fun!

This is a simple adapter for the Losi Mini-8ight for a GoPro camera.

Can see it in action here:

It does move the weight up and to the back, making wheelies and rolls a bit easier, but this car is pretty prone to those to begin with, so it's not so bad.

Enjoy! ;)

Looks very much like my idea and autocad design go pro interface

A bit more, but it's prone to do wheelies anyways... I have made another design that slides it more forward, but I haven't printed it...

Overall, the biggest problem is the camera is about 1/5th (Rough guess) the weight of the car. I knew this when I designed it, but I did it anyways. :-P

Turns out, it's fun! 8-) I just don't jun it as hard. Maybe I'll see how the new mount works out, and post that too! :)

Doesn't the added weight of the GoPro so high and all the way to the back make it very prone to doing a wheelie?

Instructions

This requires full raft/support to print. I will probably make a version later that can be printed using soluble material.

The Losi Mini-8ight has a tail-spoiler that is snapped on with little pins. Remove the pins, place the wing aside, and put the camera mount on in it's place. (It uses the same pins to secure to the car)

That's pretty sweet. I used an adhesive mount for my GoPro on my crappy 1/8th scale nitro car, but the vibration was too much for it.
