Festo Actuator Dust Cap
by DanLuc, published
This is a dust cap for a DFM12 Festo pneumatic actuator.
If installed as seen in the pictures there is allot of dust that accumulates inside the guide rods. Eventually the brass bushings inside go bad. So this is an easy way to address the problem.
Update Jan 2015:
I made another dust cap that has a lip going around the actuator to help with splash as well.
They were printed at 0.1mm layer, 2 perimeters and 100% infill. The holes are a bit tight and will need a drill to make the clearance for the M4. But all in all they look great even has the Festo blue and each takes about 2 hours to print.
